Closing of 2013 China (Chongqing) International Cloud Expo, Participated by Over 200 Exhibitors
2013 China (Chongqing) International Cloud Computing Expo was closed on October 26. Compared with the 2012 Cloud Expo, the 2013 Cloud Expo is more professional and more practical. Over 200 enterprises and organizations have exhibited their cloud-smart products and services, which attracts over 60,000 audiences. The 2013 Cloud Expo had two exhibition halls, with the total area of about 21000 m2, which is 40% more than that of the 2012 Cloud Expo; there were over 200 exhibitors, which is 31.3% more than that of the 2012 Cloud Expo.
The 2013 Cloud Expo has reached the purpose of “adding the industrial development atmosphere, gaining market popularity, attracting international capital”, which is significant for promoting the development strategy of “Cloud-Smart Device Plan” and Big Data Action Plan, accelerating the continuous increase of information consumption and boosting the industrial transformation of industrial economy, etc. Besides over 200 exhibitors, what makes the 2013 Cloud Expo stand out is that the main type of exhibitors has changed from the smart device to cloud-smart device integration. In addition, the world’s top 500 enterprises, such as Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Inventec, Huawei, NEC, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, etc. have exhibited their important cloud-smart products.
Moreover, the 2013 Cloud Expo has gained significant result in promoting Chongqing cloud-smart device industrial development: Inventec declared that it would start to establish its regional headquarters in Chongqing in 2014, and would establish Taiwan Cloud Computing Association Plan Promotion Center in Xiyong, Chongqing; China Unicom declared that it would build a data center with the area of about 100,000 m2 and arrange 300,000 servers in Chongqing, so as to meet the development demand of Chongqing cloud computing industry; DAHAN TRICOM said that it would establish the biggest SMS cloud platform project in China; Chongqing Data Center of Pacnet will be integrated into the global network of Pacnet, so as to better meet the continuously increasing demand of high-level data in China; Digital China has signed an agreement with Chongqing New North Zone; Qiang Communication has signed agreements with Postal Sector, ICBC, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Chongqing Local Tax Bureau and other sectors. Meanwhile, many enterprises have made successful contact and negotiations with districts, counties and parks on cloud-smart device industry.
