The Twelfth ‘Wales Week’ Kicks off in Chongqing

It is learnt from the British Consulate-General in Chongqing that the twelfth “Wales Week” had kicked off on March 19, 2018. In the following two weeks, the Wales Government Office in Chongqing will organize cultural exhibitions, business forums and educational visits to boost exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Wales.
Since the first “Wales Week” was successfully held in Chongqing in 2007, the series of activities centered on “Wales Week” held every March have become the important annual event for international exchange and promotion in Chongqing and a significant platform for strengthening friendly exchanges between Chongqing and Wales.
The Martin Tinney Gallery Art Show is the first time for Martin Tinney Gallery to present a show in China. So far, the gallery has staged over 300 exhibitions worldwide. The over 100 paintings on this show are mainly works depicting the local scenery of Wales. In addition to cultural and art exchanges, there are a series of economic, trade, education and tourism exchanges during the Wales Week, including the Welsh Maths Teachers Delegation Visiting Chongqing, Wales Tourism Promotion and the Cardiff Air Route Opening of Qatar Airways, and “Chongqing-Wales Healthcare Informatization Forum”.
