Chongqing Opens a Direct Air Route to New Zealand
Chongqing city of China adds an international non-stop air route. On December 21, 2016, Tianjin Airlines holds the inaugural ceremony of its direct route from Chongqing to Auckland, marking the city’s official opening of the first direct flight to New Zealand, one more intercontinental non-stop air route following the Chongqing-London route from June 2016 onwards.
It is informed that the initial flight from Chongqing to Auckland takes off on the early morning of December 22 (Beijing time, GMT + 08), performed by A330-200 wide-body aircrafts, with three flights weekly, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. At the beginning, the air route promotes an extremely cheap discount airfare at merely RMB 100 (exclusive of tax), for which the citizens’ dream of “take an air taxi” eventually comes true.
