Rustem H. Mardanov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, excepts that Chongqing will become the beneficiary of the highway network of China, Kazakhstan and Russia

On November 6, Business Trade Day of Chongqing and Bashkortostan was organized in Chongqing. Rustem H. Mardanov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, was interviewed by medias and stated that, a highway from St. Petersburg, Russia to Shanghai, China will be completed in 2016 to further integrate the highway network of China, Kazakhstan and Russia. He will take the initiative in recommending Chongqing Bonded Port Area to Russian enterprises, and devote himself to making Chongqing become the beneficiary of this highway.
Mardanov said, the activity of Business Trade Day of Chongqing and Bashkortostan was conducted due to the cooperation mechanism of middle and upper reaches of Yangtze River and drainage basin of Volga River”. Bashkortostan desires to increase the export products to China, and enterprises in Bashkortostan also have strong interests in establishing cooperation with Chongqing enterprises in the fields of auto part manufacturing, oil exploitation and deep processing.
The export of products depends on transportation tools. Mardanov thought that, “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway admittedly brings both parties new opportunities, but now most of products of Russia exported to China are still transported on highways. Therefore, a well-developed highway network will inevitably contribute to good bilateral trade.
He said, a highway connecting St. Petersburg, Russia to Shanghai, China will be completed in 2016, stretching across China, Kazakhstan and Russia. After getting back to his country, he will take the initiative in recommending Chongqing Bonded Port Area to Russian enterprises, and devote himself to making Chongqing become the beneficiary of the integrated highway network among China, Kazakhstan and Russia.
According to the introduction, this transnational highway consists of a part that has existed in China, and newly-built parts in Russia and Kazakhstan. Up to now, the part in Kazakhstan has been built, while the part in Russia is under construction and is expected to be completed and put into service in 2016.
