“Chongqing China TV Week” Opens in Germany

On Sept. 20th, “Chongqing China TV Week” opened at Nordrhein-Westfalen Television Station in Duesseldorf, Germany. With programs like Food in Chongqing, Love Chongqing, etc. broadcasted locally, in the coming week, Chongqing will be in the focus of the local media.
“Chongqing China TV Week” is one of the important items of “Experience China • Chongqing Bayu Culture in Germany” event. The international channel of Chongqing Broadcasting Group had elaborately made five features for it, including: Welcome to Chongqing, Must Visit Chongqing, Love Chongqing, Food in Chongqing, and Chongqing Culture. These features introduce history, geography, economy, culture, tourism, cuisine, foreign exchange and the living conditions of ordinary citizens in Chongqing respectively.
From Sept.20th to 26th local time, German audiences can watch these programs disseminating Chongqing through Nordrhein-Westfalen Television Station, FTL Television Station, Duesseldorf Television Station, YOUTUBE, official video website of European TV column Have A LOOK, and FTL synchronous network television on Zattoo.
Through these programs, German audiences can both appreciate the spectacular scenery of the world-class scenic spot - Three Gorges of Yangtze River, and enjoy the gorgeous scenes of UN world cultural heritage - Dazu Rock Carvings; can directly taste Hot Pot, the most representative cuisine in Chongqing, and know up-close the extensive and profound Sichuan cuisine, one of the four major cuisines in China; as well as truly appreciate the special charm of Chongqing as a rapidly developing metropolis and a famous historic and cultural city.
It is hoped that Chongqing’s popularity and influence among German audiences will expand through the TV week. The “Chongqing TV Week” event will further enhance German audiences’ understanding of Chongqing.
