Newly Appointed British Consul-General in Chongqing: Chongqing Is a City with Diversified Development
On the afternoon of December 18, as one of the activities in “Chongqing and the World—2013 Cultural Carnival”, the media conference of the newly appointed British Consul-General in Chongqing was held at Jiaxiang Anshan Art Museum of Chongqing Tiandi. Tina Redshaw, the newly appointed British Consul-General in Chongqing, expressed her impression on Chongqing and opinions on other issues.
This media conference was jointly held by Chongqing International Culture Association and Chongqing Foreign Culture Exchange Center. On the afternoon of December 18, Redshaw, wearing a pink suit, appeared on the site of media conference with a healthy and energetic look.
“I came to Chongqing 29 years ago as a student. Chongqing impressed me as a river city with its developed shipping industry.” Redshaw started the interview with her own first visit in Chongqing.
As British Consul-General in Chongqing, Redshaw compared her impression on Chongqing this time with that 29 years ago, “The biggest change of Chongqing is in the its industrial structure, and Chongqing now is a city with diversified development.” Said Redshaw.
As the newly appointed British Consul-General in Chongqing, Redshaw expressed clearly in the media conference that in the future years, she will try to let more British understand Chongqing.
