The First World-class Data Center in Southwest China Will Open Its Business at the End of This Year in Chongqing

The principal part of the project for the first world-class data center in Southwest China, Pacnet Chongqing Data Center, being constructed by Pacnet Singapore, the largest telecommunication service provider in Asia-Pacific region, will be completed at the end of this month, and this data center will be put into operation within this year.
The computer room building of Pacnet, the first transnational enterprise settled in Liangjiang International Cloud Computing Center, is to be topped off at the end of this month. Next, 1,500 cabinets and 30,000 servers will be placed in the computer room building to provide on/offshore data processing services for Asian or even global large-scale international customers and provide reliable communication support for the enterprises settled in Shuitu Cloud Computing Data Processing Base.
It is learned that the core of Liangjiang International Cloud Computing Center covering an area of about 10 square kilometres is the offshore cloud computing pilot site covering an area of about 1 square kilometre. Over the past year, the construction of Liangjiang International Cloud Computing Center has proceeded smoothly, west China data centers of the three major domestic telecom operators—China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom gathered here, and the main parts of CIECC Chongqing Data Industrial Park and Pacnet Chongqing Data Center have taken shape.
